Our commitment in one sentence

shob does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Your code, conversations, and credentials stay entirely on your machine.

🛡️

01Overview

Overview

shob ("shob AI Agent", "we", "us", or "our") is a fully open-source, free AI agent workspace for developers. This Privacy Policy explains our approach to your data — or more accurately, our complete lack of data collection.

The bottom line: we do not collect, store, process, or transmit any personal data from users of shob. This policy exists to be fully transparent about that commitment.

02No Data Collection

No Data Collection

shob AI Agent does not collect any personally identifiable information (PII). We do not gather:

  • Your name, email address, or contact details
  • Usage analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
  • Your code, files, or repository contents
  • API keys, tokens, or credentials you use
  • IP addresses, device identifiers, or location data
  • Browsing history or interaction logs

03No Data Storage

No Data Storage

shob operates entirely on your local machine. All sessions, conversations, agent states, and outputs remain on your device. We do not operate any servers that receive, log, or persist information about your usage.

There is no account system, no cloud sync, and no backend database associated with your use of shob.

04Third-Party Integrations

Third-Party Integrations

shob allows you to integrate with third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others) by supplying your own API keys directly within the application.

These integrations are entirely your choice. When you use a third-party provider through shob:

  • Your requests go directly from your device to the third-party provider
  • shob does not proxy, inspect, log, or intercept those requests
  • The privacy policy of each third-party provider governs how they handle your data
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing and accepting the terms of any provider you integrate

We do not receive, retain, or have access to any data exchanged between you and third-party providers.

👤

05Your Responsibility

Your Responsibility

Because shob gives you the freedom to connect to any AI provider using your own credentials, the security and privacy of those integrations are your own responsibility.

We strongly encourage you to:

  • Review the privacy policy of any third-party AI provider you use
  • Use API keys with the minimum necessary permissions
  • Rotate or revoke keys if you believe they have been compromised
  • Avoid sending sensitive personal data to external AI services unless you understand how they handle it

shob is provided as a tool. How you use that tool — and what data you choose to share with external services — is fully in your control.

06Open Source & Transparency

Open Source & Transparency

shob is fully open-source under the MIT License. Every line of code is publicly available for review. You do not have to take our word for this privacy policy — you can audit the source code yourself.

We believe open-source software is the highest standard of transparency. There are no hidden processes, no obfuscated code, and no secret data pipelines.

08Changes to This Policy

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this policy, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and note the changes in our changelog. Since we collect no data, any changes would only serve to clarify our existing commitments — not to expand data collection.
